OCF Ag-Vocacy Seminar
Thursday, February 08, 2018, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CDT
Category: Oklahoma Cattlemen's Foundation Events

We are excited to host an AgVocacy Seminar, Feb. 8, 2018!

It seems that as the number of those engaged in production agriculture decreases, so does the gap in agricultural literacy. Agricultural literacy is the term used to describe the public’s knowledge of agriculture.  The term Ag-Vocacy is simply advocating for agriculture and that is something that all of us can and should be doing.

This year's Oklahoma Cattlemen's Foundation Seminar will focus on how farmers and ranchers can tell their story.  We'll talk about the different avenues we have to do so, reliable sources to draw from, how to find the right audience and how to incorporate Ag-Vocacy into your everyday life without having to sit down and write a blog and take part in a speaking engagement.

Speakers include:

  • Ann Burkholder, Cozad, Nebraska:  Feedyard Foodie Blog; Nebraska Feedyard Operator

  • Brandi Frobose, Greeley, Kansas: Blogger, Rancher & Communications Coordinator at Red Angus Assn of America

  • Ryan Goodman, Denver, Colorado: Director, Grassroots Advocacy and Spokesperson Development, NCBA

Join us Feb. 8 at 9 a.m. at Cimarron Fields Event Barn, 5120 S. Cimarron Road, Yukon, OK  73099

Early Registration is $25, which includes lunch.
