OCA Theft Reward Program Guidelines

The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) and the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation (OCF) will pay up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone stealing cattle, agricultural property, vandalism of property or arson of property of a member of the association.

Payments shall be made subject to the following conditions and limitations:

  1. The victim must be a current member of the OCA in good standing at the time of the crime.  No grace period will be allowed for any reason.
  2. One or more OCA Theft Reward Signs should be posted on the property and clearly visible at the time of the crime.
  3. Reward payment will be up to a maximum of $10,000, but will be representative of the Fair Market Value (FMV) of said property.  Ultimately, the reward amount will be left to the discretion of the OCA Executive Committee and the OCF Joint Theft Reward Task Force.  Representatives from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) Investigative Services, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), other Oklahoma Law Enforcement, or Federal Law Enforcement may be asked to provide input as to the validity and usefulness of the information provided.  Furthermore, Representatives from the ODAFF Investigative Services, OSBI, other Oklahoma Law Enforcement, or Federal Law Enforcement may be asked to provide a recommendation of the reward amount, but shall have no voting rights.
  4. No reward shall be payable to the OCA member, members or the immediate family or household, any persons having an interest in said property, or any law enforcement officer.
  5. If two or more persons file a claim for the reward, the merits of the various claims shall be considered and the decision of the OCA and OCF Joint Theft Reward Task Force shall be final.
  6. Rewards shall only be offered when a representative of the ODAFF Investigative Services, OSBI, other Oklahoma Law Enforcement, or Federal Law Enforcement are working the case.
  7. In the event that the victim of the crime is a member of more than one organization that offers a reward on the victim’s behalf, the OCA and OCF Joint Theft Reward Task Force shall determine the amount of the reward to offer if any.
